Would you be for or against allowing Drones to shoot at illegal aliens crossing the U.S. borders?
Drones silently patrol U.S. borders
By Ed Lavandera, CNN
Fort Huachuca, Arizona (CNN) -- It's a frigid, dark night in the mountainous border region of southeast Arizona. A group of 31 suspected illegal immigrants are walking up and down rocky ridges toward Tucson, Arizona. They're wearing small backpacks and stop to rest every few minutes.
This isn't a scene unfolding before the eyes of Border Patrol agents on the ground. It comes from a video image provided by a Predator B unmanned aircraft 19,000 feet overhead. In fact, the nearest Border Patrol agents are far away.
Jerry Kersey is the Customs and Border Protection agent in charge of this night's Predator mission. He and his two-man crew relay the information to Border Patrol agents from a small trailer 40 miles from the scene.
Kersey directs the agents on the ground, who are wearing night-vision goggles.
"Stop! Stop! They're to your right," Kersey firmly dictates over a radio transmission. "They must see you. The group is running."

considering that the Border Patrol agents don’t commonly shoot at illegal aliens, there would be no reason for drones to either. even North Korea doesn’t open fire on people crossing their border illegally.

No…while I’m against allowing more and more illegals into this country, shooting them is absurd. What needs to be done is an extreme crackdown on the business’ that employ illegals, if they couldn’t find ANY jobs, they would stop coming in such waves. As far as the 12 million (estimated) already in the country they should be automaticly deported. The road to legality should be simple, deport them, but allow them to apply legally without the 5,10 or lifetime bans.

I am all for, we have no idea who these illegals are that are trying to enter. We have no idea what weapons they may carry. We have no idea if they are a threat to national security.

AGAINST AGAINST AGAINST!!!!! What is this? It’s not the Soviet Union. I do propose this simple solution to illegal immigrants. They are allowed to cross the border with little or no hassle. We simply set up checkins at various points along the border. There, they will register as illegal aliens and be given a couple choices where they can earn their citizenship on the spot. They can either serve in the military for say, three years or they will be given a list of chronic welfare beneficiaries. They are given six months to find two of them bounty hunter style and turn them in where they are essentially trading citizenship. They will then be given a free pass to a few basic english classes at a community college. It’s a win for the Mexican who is willing to work and a win for America. He upgrades his life situation for his family and we trade two leeches for an enterprising person who will probably have a better grasp on English than the two losers we lost.
