Why do some people have bad night vision and other do not?

I'm 27 years old and have been dealing with bad night vision while driving. It is even worse when it is raining or if a car's headlights are blaring at me while passing. What causes this, and are there any ways to make it easier to drive at night?

  1. Jane Says:

see an optometrist or you could be a hazard on the road.

Could be a number of things: lack of vitamin A in diet, cataracts, or somethings wrong with your nerve endings.

    My suggestion: see an optometrist.

Some of retinal diseases conjugate with a symptom like this:
    - retinitis pigmentosa
    - laber ameurosis i think
    - choroideremia
    - congenital stationary night blindness
they are a genetic retinal dystrophies ….. so to be shore go to ophthalmology as soon as possible

wearing glasses or other low vision aids (if your vision is so poor) will help you in daily life but for driving depend on the way to correct your vision

    hope help
