    @clevonamerica I have a deadly stapler on my desk and a sharpie.. How is that a weapon you ask? Well, I could hold it up to your nose and the fumes would slowly start to irritate you. Or I could just repeatedly draw on you until the ink seeped into your skin and caused some form of mild poisoning or nausea. Forget AK-47′s. WE NEED OFFICE SUPPLIES DAMMIT!

    One of the best pieces of night-vision equipment is the moon. We are lucky the Israelis didn’t take that away too.

    You do realise that “Palestine” was taken away from the Jewish occupants of the area in 1923? The “Palestinian”/Jewish conflict did not start because of a UN decision made in 1947.

  18. LittlPussi Says:

    @thegirl44 I realise the problem started even earlier with Theodor Herzl in the late 19th century.

  19. thegirl44 Says:

    @LittlPussi
    There is a world of difference between an idea and an action. A philosophy (Idea) about a “non religious Palace of Peace” is not the same as the physical act of England segregating the Jews (Action). If you read Herzl’s Proposition for Zion you will see that nowhere does it talk about segregation of the Jews, or anyone for that matter, nor does it talk about an aggressive aquisition of Jerusalem.

  20. LittlPussi Says:

    @thegirl44 Yes, there is a world of difference between an idea and an action. But ideas have often caused physical problems. Are you saying Hertzl would condemn Israel were he around today?

  21. thegirl44 Says:

    @LittlPussi
    No, I don’t think that Hertzl was the type of person to condemn. I think that he would have been confused, perhaps even disappointed, by the “Palestinians” who have rebuked every attempt to bring peace to the area.
    In Hertzl’s proposition there was no “us and them” mentality. There was an idea of people working together in a small geographical area to provide a model of humanity to the rest of the globe.

  22. LittlPussi Says:

    @thegirl44 Nice idea, but see where it has led. The Palestinians are not the only ones who have thrown away opportunities for peace, so have the “Israelis”. By the way I am an anti-zionist for humanitarian reasons, not political reasons. Not that you have done so, so far, but don’t talk about who has any right to live where, because I have no opinion on that.

  23. thegirl44 Says:

    @LittlPussi
    I wouldn’t talk about who “has any right to live there” as it is not my place to. I am not an inhabitant of the area. I have, however, worked in the area with a humanitarian organization and I have seen the difference between those making the most of living there and those who make living there difficult for all concerned.
    Zionism is like any other political philosophy, brilliant on paper but impossible to translate to real world situations as it ignores the human element.

  24. LittlPussi Says:

    @thegirl44 Fair enough. Take care.
