Can a night vision lens fitted to your head be used to look down a scope on a rifle.?

Is it easy to find targets.

    Not sure, but even if you could i wonder what effect muzzle flash would have. I imagine night vision scopes are designed to deal with this.

    Unless you are in ideal conditions the answer is no. It’s almost impossible to even view out a window as any reflection will screw things up. I think it would just be an exercise in frustration. I’m afraid you must spend the bucks for a night vision scope for any sort of reliability.

    Actually it is possible… BUT you will have to have the alignment perfect as you likely know that looking into a scope only works when your at the right angle… the downside is even if you get it all lined up once you pull the trigger the recoil will screw everything up.

    Well,
    Certainly not an expert on night vision equipment. Although I do own several different types of the “Gen.1” models. Head mounted and hand held.

    I think you will find them extremely difficult-all but impossible to use to sight down a rifle scope. One will be much better off just buying a night vision scope.
